Kyle Bailey, Vice Chair
Kyle Bailey hails from Hiawassee, Georgia in the northeast Georgia mountains. At the age of 18, Kyle was elected as the youngest Chair of any County Democratic Party in Georgia. As a graduate of the University of Georgia, with majoring in political science, Kyle helped to organize the second Stonewall Students Chapter in the country, served as Co-Field Director of the LGBT campus organization Lambda Alliance, served as Chair of the Young Democrats of Georgia Stonewall Caucus, and was elected to the National Stonewall Democrats Board of Directors. In 2005, Kyle moved to Atlanta and went to work learning the ropes of political fundraising on the Georgia Lieutenant Governor's campaign of Jim Martin - the strongest ally of the LGBT community to ever win the Democratic Party nomination for state-wide office in Georgia. The Campaign raised over $3 million dollars in little over one year - almost matching the Republican nominee - and helped lay the foundation for building a new, progressive Democratic Party by winning 78,000 more votes than the conservative Democratic gubernatorial candidate. Kyle currently serves on the National Stonewall Democrats Board of Directors and Executive Committee, Democratic Party of Georgia State Committee and Affirmative Action Committee, Fulton County Democratic Party Committee, Red Clay Democrats Board of Governors, and is Chair of Atlanta Stonewall Democrats.
